Fernie Slopeside Lodge

We booked about 25 rooms for a large group. Great location, one minute walk to chairs and can ski right back to the doors. Rooms clean. Rusty at front desk is great, very helpful. Short walk to main lodge for the hill. If you're rich and a bit pretentious, maybe you'd get upset the carpets in the hall have a few bleach stains. But you're here to ski not to critique carpets. There's a mini fridge in each room. One of the rooms has a full kitchen and living area, sleeps eight. BBQ on the porch is natural gas.

Good - Just don't set your expectations out of line. I've stayed at Slopeside multiple times and plan to go back again. Just don't confuse it for something it's not. This is not the hotel for a fancy wine and dine weekend with your lady in the mountains. What it is, is a great crash pad and shower after a day of mountain activities. The beds are hard, the shower sounds like a fighter jet, the walls are paper thin, and it costs half as much as the second cheapest hotel in town.

The perfect hotel, scuffs on walls, bed is loud and springy but also like a rock, fire alarms kept going off or chirping, lights flickering, some drinks in mini fridge froze yet others seemed kinda hot? Little bit of mold by the tub, lock came out of wall, strong toilet, pool table was nice, and tv had lots of options

Location was alright. Not really a ski out or a ski in because of stairs to and from the hotel. The beds in the room were twins not queens which sucked to share with another person. The hot tub room was quite dirty. The bathroom was clean and it's nice they have a small desk in the hotel room. We probably won't stay here again.

Great budget hotel. You can literally ski to the front door. To get back to the lifts about a 1 minute walk up a hill. The beds are doubles not queens but its a great location and there are indoor hot tubs. There's also a liquor store attached which is convenient. It's always been clean in my experience and I've stayed here a few times. There are common areas with couches and chairs to lounge and play board games, etc.

Great service and comfy beds, big shout out to Joaquin for such a great and friendly customer service! We will be back for sure!

I've stayed here twice for a week at a time. This is basic lodging with a bit of barking and neighbour shower noise but it's also 50m from the lifts and other parts of the resort. Prices have gone up here a bit, perhaps too much for its level.

This is a great budget hotel. It's the closest to the lifts and is a great price. That said the beds were double beds not queen size and the rooms are small. It's a lively place however and still uses traditional metal keys to lock the doors. Some might say it could use a renovation but it fits the purpose of a place to sleep at Legendary Fernie!
